SweetPea was the littlest puppy in her litter, a tiny gangly little thing. Still, there was something about her that drew me to her.  She had a look reminiscent of her granddam

Rose,

and so I chose her.

She has taken

some time to mature, and is finally ready at 3 to really start competing for conformation points. While she's been growing up, we've been having fun with coursing, her first time in open (akc) she went BIF for a 3 point major. She recently went to her first LGRA event and won BOB for 1 point. She also has 5 conformation points, w/1 major. Pea has started obedience training, and will eventually work towards her CD too. Still her heart belongs in the field, whether here at home chasing birds and other critters, or at the lure.

SweetPea approx. 2 months old.

One of the last times I had her in the ring. Due to  health, I could not do Pea justice when showing her. She is now expertly handled by her co-breeder Ann Stout (Klasyx). Guided by Ann, Pea won a 4 pt. major under judge Monica Canestrini  in 5/2002. While still a puppy, Barbara Heller awarded her WB and then BOS over a multi specialty winning champion bitch.
