PAX, MD - On May 29, 1999, Patuxent River Naval Air Station held their annual air show. Tom and Wendy decided to drive down, because the Blue Angels were scheduled to perform there. They had seen the Thunderbirds perform at Hill Air Force Base while they were in Utah, and they had always hoped to see the Blue Angels in person.
It was quite a show. In addition to seeing numerous stationary exhibits, the Blue Angels performed wonderfully. Their fourth plane had problems with it's landing gear, so they got to put their seventh plane into action. It was suspenseful for the spectators, not knowing where the fourth plane was, when they had clearly seen it take off.
