2. Break up into action groups by interest and responsibility...things that need doing are:
a. organizing varsity recycling (make sure they get hallways, FITNESS CENTER, 3rd floor copier room!!)-Leticia?
b. Creating earth week publicity such as
a. poster with all the events descriptions and times
b. submit event descriptions and times to bradford, PTSO, all faculty e-mail, elementary and middles schools, Townsman
c. eye catching posters for individual events and advertising the speakers
d. check with Novo, let her know we have speakers and ask if it is ok to open the event to the community/how we would handle visitor slips etc.
c. Securing a table on the MEZ to sell products and get pledges during earth week
d. ordering $180 worth of green stuff...consider asking Dr. Keough for some $$ for a "green pledge" drawing prize
e. locate 3 best spots for no idling signs
f. Contact Planet aid
g. Getting a list of all the best contacts at the elementary and middle schools by contacting the
main office and asking for e-mail addresses and names
h. Contact town natural resources commission about buying recycling bins for fields
i. Create a paper reduction posters to hang above the printers in the copier rooms as well as above the printers in the library
j. Create a bottle reduction poster to hang above the fitness center bin and drag one of the cafeteria bins down to the fitness center/have the recyclers do that
k. write up "green fact" list and then use to
a. create posters for earth week
b. fill out "announcemnet" slips for earth week
l. finish labeling all recyling bins around school and in caf
m. work on green certifications...drop by and invite yourself into classrooms that are not certified
n. plan days to go to recycling center to sell products and give out info
o. invite whole foods to sponser our earth week events
p. work with librarians to help put together an easy "screenshot" guide to cancelling extra magazines/junk mail
