This brings us to the Rule of Three.  It's sort of a karmic thing, but actually I believe that the powers that be brought it into being to act as sort of the magickal police.

A little physics lesson:

For every positive action, there is a positive reaction.
For every negative action, there is a negative reaction.

Some may think the reactions are equal to the action, but in witchcraft the reactions are three times greater that the action performed.  This means that what we send out is going to return to us three times greater than we sent out in the first place.  This gives us alot to consider before performing any type of magick.

Ethics isn't one of my most favorite subject, as I'm sure it isn't yours either, but I can't stress enough the importance of having a full understanding of the practice of magick and all its repercussions BEFORE we raise that wand.  We need to be aware of the negative side effects that we can encounter if we make the wrong choices in our practice.  It can be dangerous not only to ourselves, but to those around us as well.

When we embark on the Wiccan path, we undergo a transformation.  We are not the same as we once were.  We look at the universe around us in a whole new light.  It is truly an exciting way to live.  so as we practice, we want all of our experiences to be positive ones and the best way to ensure that is to heed the edict..."If it harms none, do as ye will".  Just remember, we always have a choice, and that's the greatest power of all.

Brightest Blessings.    Sagewoman
