Hecate
	Hekate is a goddess shrouded in mystey, for there is continuing debate about Her name, origin and character. There are few legends about Her,and no fixed geneology. Some say that Hekate is the daughter of Erebus and Nyx, ageless Goddess of the night, while others believe that She is one of the Furies or the last surviving Titan except for Zeus. Hesoid claims that She was born of the Titan Perses and the star goddess Asteria. Musaeus claims She was born to Asteria and Zeus, Euripides says She is a daughter of Leto, while Thessalian legend has it that Hekate is the daughter of Admetus and a Pheraean woman. (from http://www.hecate.org.uk/) Hecate is sometimes refered to as the Goddess of Witches. She is the goddess of Crossways and Pathways. She represents the crone side of the triple goddess, and she is revered in the night. It is said that Hecate was the most like the triple goddess, because she was seen in all phases of the moon, which makes it easier for people who worship her, to contact her. Hecate is a dark goddess, many people into dark arts and paths worship and serve this goddess as their patron. She maintains the balance in religoins such as Wicca and Paganism.
