A Wiccan Circle of Friends
About Us
Merry Meet!

Welcome to our circle of friends!  Let me tell you a little about us. We are a varied group of wiccans, from all over the globe, representing a diversity in age and "lot" in life, with varying lengths of time on our individual wiccan paths. We found each other on the internet at another wonderful wiccan site which we came to call "home". For some of us, it was our only source of wiccan fellowship, since many of us are solitaries, and some "in the closet".  Soon we were not only discussing things on the message board, but meeting regularly for on-line chats and networking through e-mails. It felt like "family"! No matter our differences, we share great mutual respect for one another and for each person's opinions and beliefs. Over time we have gotten close, and several of us have even had the pleasure of meeting each other face to face. We have laughed together till we nearly wet our pants, and cried together in the sharing of sorrow and adversity. We have found that we can actually do on-line circles for ritual and spell work! That is truly an awesome experience, and it has brought us even closer.

The site we so fondly called home experienced some technical problems. It's wonderful creators fell on tough times and the site was "down" for several months. Without our "home" we got to feeling rather desperate. That is how this site was born. Through the months we were "siteless", we held together and our bonds to each other remained strong. We were much like a homeless family.....so we built a new home! Now, like birds who have learned to fly, and have left the "nest", we remember fondly where many of us met years ago, and look foward to the time when our old "home" site will be back on its feet again so we can link back and forth. The world needs more open-minded and welcoming places, not less.

So why did we choose the wolf as the symbol of this new site? Well, while it is true that we have many wolf-lovers among us....lol!... we chose the wolf because wolves are very family-oriented animals. They are very protective, loyal, nurturing and caring of each member of the pack. Wolves still display and allow uniqueness and individuality in each pack member. If one member dies, the pack mourns their loss with genuine emotion and grief. They play together, live together, and sustain each other's survival as a group. The site is not only represented by the wolf symbol, but the site is also protected by magick which invokes the spirit of the wolf. Perhaps this is why we have so little problems with people leaving nasty posts,  using our board for alterior motives, or otherwise contaminating our supportive environment!

So why did we choose a geocities site instead of a dot-com domain name? Well, since our first site had met its demise due to the financial difficulties of its creators we felt that by using only FREE providers for every aspect of this new site, that we would be ensuring its continuation and survival no matter what circumstances befell any one individual. So far we have been able to keep to that goal. The concept of having a "staff", averaging approximately 13 members, is so that the site would not depend on any one person to keep it active and attended to. Knowing that life throws us many different curves and demands on our time, having a large staff has meant that at any given point in time we have consistently been able to count on at least a handful of active staff members. Staff members regularly post and reply to posts, welcome newcomers, open and monitor the chat room for chats, inform the webmistress of any problems, and make their e-mails available for people to write to them. While we definitely have many points of view and differ on a myraid of subjects we all adhere to a harm none philosophy and advocate non-manipulation of others. When writing to us, understand that any advice sought can only be answered with our personal opinions. We do, however, take our time in getting to know someone for at least a year, prior to their joining the staff, and feel confident that all staff members are sincere and genuine in their path, intentions, and motives.

You will find many of our names and e-mails listed on the "Circle Staff Members" page (see the link below). We enjoy hearing from you. If there is anything we can help you with, just let us know and we wil do our best. We welcome all who follow the "harm-none" rede, and want you to feel at home. So have a seat, and sit a SPELL! (grin) Enjoy some good reading and friendly conversation. May you find as much joy and comfort here as we have, and may the Goddess and God abundantly bless you and yours.

Blessed Be!
