Samhain Bread of the Dead

Ingredients:
2 cups of flour
2 teasoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
10 drops of anise extract

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Mix all ingredients until smooth. Grease a cookie sheet. Mold the dough into a round shape with a "Knob" on top. Place dough on cookie sheet.

Mix together:
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon of melted butter

Sprinkle topping on dough and bake for 20-25 minutes. Decorate with icing after it has cooled to make a face.

Serving suggestions: Eat with Hot cocoa or Cider!
