The Wiccan Movement
	In my opinion, Wicca, Witchcraft and Paganism has a place amongst main religions of the world for the twenty-first century. More and more statistics show that a majority of teenagers and adults are returning to the Old ways. Reason for this include the need for a religion with down to Earth and understandable morals, wanting to change lives for the better, and the need to make a noticable difference in the world.             More and more people are beginning to realize that they don't want to take part in a racist or sexist religion, or one that preaches humans are sinful creature that most find salvation. Some chruches still preach that the white man is superior to all. These churches are run by the descentences of those involve with the KKK and other hate organizations.Many women are stepping out of religions that preach they are inferior to men. For example, in traditional Islam, a woman as no say in anything but her household.  Many cloak and veil themselves from society because they have been taught that the world is man's kingdom. Also, people are turning down idea of a distant, unforgiving God that sends people who have made mistakes to a place to burn for eternity.  Wicca on the other hand, teaches to be at harmony with those of a different race, and sexual orientation; thus, Wicca is very fashionable to those who dislike  racism and sexism. The Wiccan Rede emphasizes that harmony by stating, "And harm ye none, do what thou wilt.   It is a Wiccan belief that humans are born innocent and are constantly loved by the Goddess and the God.  While some are working toward salvation, Wiccans are working at keep harmony and balance within every aspects of their lives.           People also want to be in control of their lives. Considered by some to be part of the New Age craze, more and more humans are turning toward magick and Witchcraft in terms of making lives worth living and enjoying. Instead of being bystander in our lives, as Witches we are active participants with a constant say on how our lives well be played.  We embrace our powers and given gifts to enchant our lives in many aspects.           It is evident that our world is experiencing a time of chaos.  As the sons and daughters of the Earth, we make a difference in the health and harmony of our world. On a mundane level we do our best to stop and reverse the pollution of Earth, and heal the many dying ecosystems. We may do this through ritual and or by minimizing waste. Also, supporting ecological and environmental ogranization is a must.  As Witches and Wiccans, it is our job to promote harmony.  Thus, Witches tend to be pacifists and anti-violent, who bring these values  to society.            Wiccan morals, the ability to control our lives and to bring peace to the world are reasons why more and more people are returning to the Old ways. As a main stream religion, we don't have to be frighten of what we are, but embrace of gifts and knowledge with love and pride.
