For those you who you are confused as to why there is information on Native Americans on a Wiccan site, let me tell you something about Native Americans.   All of us have some form of Native American in us somewhere. Now I'm not referring to genetics, but spiritual and beliefs.  Native Americans are direct descendences of the first shamans on Earth. Knowing that Wiccan is a shamanic religions, the connections between
Wiccan beliefs and Native American philosophy if inevitable. The three main concepts of the Native American philosophy are:
The Circle of Life
Respect for Nature
And Respect for Ancestors.
Obviously, Wiccans also belief in the circle of life, which we call
reincarnation. Wiccans also have a profound respect for nature. Part of a Witch's power come from respecting those that came before her, and embracing their powers and wisdom.  Native Americans are also practioners of magick. Thus, Wiccans and Native Americans are riding the same boat.
Sun, My Relative-Havasupai Indian
Sun, my relative
Be good coming out
Do something good for us
Make me work
So I can do anything I wish in the garden.
I hoe, I plant corn, I irrigate.

You, Sun be good going down at sunset.
We lay down to sleep
I want to feel good.
While I sleep you come up.
Go on your course many times
Make good things for us men.
Song of the Sky Loom- Tewa Indian.
O our Mother the Earth, O our Father the Sky,
Your children are we, and with tired backs
We bring you the gifts you love.
Then weave us a garment of brightness;
May the war be the white light of morning,
May the weft be the re light of evening,
May the fringed be th falling rain,
May the border be ther standing rainbow.
Thus weave for us a garment of brightness,
That we may walk fittingly where the birds sing,
That we may walk fittingly where grass is green,
O our Mother the Earth, O our Father the Sky.
