Evolution and Ethical Issues

Many people do not understand how crucial the truth or lie of evolution will affect their view on ethical issues.  I have already demonstrated in a previous post that evolution is not scientific and that one has to have a lot more faith to believe in evolution then they do in creation.  Let me just state a couple more things on that note before I tell how evolution will affect your ethical views.  Scientists have come up with a theory called spontaneous generation which accompanies evolution.  This theory states that life goes on as normal and then within a matter of 100-200 years, there are points in which one species emerges and wipes out another.  This is the explanation of mutations in accordance with geochronology.  Once the age of the earth was set at 4.6 billion years old, scientists stuck with that and when they found out it would probably take longer to evolve, they turned to two alternatives.  The first alternative was the belief in spontaneous generation.  The second alternative was the idea that we evolved on other planets and then aliens brought us here.  Such an idea is believed very strongly by Carl Sagan, who is one of the world's most famous evolutionist.  Now, evolution also affects one's ethical views.  Without evolution, abortion would have probably never been legalized, and homosexuality would not erroneously be viewed as genetically coded in to some people.  Carl Sagan is  a very strong proponent of the theory of recapitulation.  This theory ststes that in the womb, the child goes through several stages before they become flesh.  First is a fetus, then a fish, and fianlly a frog.  So Sagan would say that an abortion within the first trimester of the pregnancy is not the killing of human life but the terminatin of a fish or frog.  Now on the issue of abortion, I know that rape and life of the mother are very tocuhy situations.  I personally believe that the woman should still have the child, but I do not have a problem with them having a choice in these situations.  After all, that is a tumultuos time to have a child through being raped.  But 99% of all abortions are not because of these reasons, but are rather due to the lack of willingness on the part of the mother to take responsibility for her actions.  If you're going to walk with the gun on the street then you need to suffer the consequences even when the trigger goes off by mistake.  The same applies to the issue of having sex, even if you say you used birth control.  Keep in mind that both evolution and recapitulation are theories.  The two theories basically go together.  Evolution also leads to the belief that racism can be justified because one race would have evolved faster than the other.  Adolf Hitler was the most famous evolutionist of his time.  That is why he did what he did.  In his own mind, Hitler was trying to save the world by helping the races to evolve quicker into what he thought was the master race.  The concept of social darwinism(survival of the fittest) has led to many brutal massacres in Darwinian times, and all of them based on the evolutionary system are perfetly justified.  Another idea that evolution brings is the idea that humans are animals, therefore they ought to have all the sex they want to have.  The othe idea that evolution has brought about is the idea that homosexuality is purely due to genetic causes.  That's as rediculous as one saying they can't help murdering because they were born a murderer.  Evolutionists came up with this idea by saying that homosexuality is a natural instinct which is embarked upon by nature to prevent the population for being so vast and numerous.  The other contribution of evolution is the strive for animal rights.  Animals are now viewed as being coequal with humans.  Notice that Democrats will do whatever it takes to preserve animals, but they freely and openly allow the murder of unborn babies.  I'm not proclaiming myself to be against animals, because I love pets.  But evolution has led to the belief in animals almost as gods.  All of this equates together to demonstrate that our ethics are based only upon a simple little theory that is highly unlikely based on the laws of nature.  Thus, it is time to reform this system and to reevaluate our ethics as we do so.  When we do this, we will find ourselves living with a better peace about matters and will bridge the gap further between this generation and the great generations that have come before us.
