Away
21 Apr 2000
If I meet you some where
Find smoky rooms and dim-lit tables
Upon which to spread secrets,
Will you allow your hypocrisies reign?
If I hold you close over long years,
Gentling rough waters
And giving you all that I am,
Will you forgive those parts of my
You may not comprehend?
Or, shall I whisper of
Tangling my hands in flaxen locks
Laying my lips against full breasts
Arching back for a woman’s pleasure
Tasting her upon my lips
And wanting more;
Only to have you turn away?
Once revealed, shall you cross that line
Break that trust
And ask me to share this with you?
I know I am too complex;
The facets of my personality too myriad
And sharp with unexpected edges,
So that most men run
From the work that entails.
If I share this with you
Will you turn away?
