Tremble
I tremble under your gaze
the butterfly pinned
uncertain as to your intent~~
Shatter the smiles
I weep
for touching you
is anguish to my heart~~
You writhe under my kisses
and move sensuously~~
Your body is balm
to my aching soul
as we play symphonies
and write love songs
with each breath and sigh~~
Your brilliance fascinates me
your panther grace intrigues me
yet
we can never be two~~
Two lovers, two friends, two on a journey
only one
and one
for your intellect studies me too closely
so that my wings flutter
afraid,
and your beliefs take you
on a diverging path~~
I long to hide in your Sphinx smile
forgetting that tomorrow exists
as you lift me up
on magic hands
and tapestry thoughts~~
Yet
I tremble~~
