Thought and Desire
Thought and Desire
Softer Visions
Dec 97
So, thought and desire has brought me here
to these moments of indecisive decision
where I examine my sexuality
with averted eye
until I can find that which I search for
here amongst the lost and the outlandish.
Which shall it be, then?
A chosen moment with soft body
and compassionate soul,
or the expected time with hard muscle
and thrusting heart?
I wait with bated breath
for fate to decide some action
never confident enough to grasp at hope
in a countenance like mine.
Leading myself on with thought,
I tip-toe past creating the reality.
Amazed at my own fears,
I resolve to take some step toward action,
yet falter in the movement,
afraid of the hat of jester
standing alone amongst throbbing beat
and twisting bodies.
Shall I take this action?
A moment, only, do I hesitate,
as she touches my hand so gently,
leading me to the dance floor.
Aroused by the thumping bass and her undulations,
I hesitate no longer.
