Digital Dreams

Creating connections through bytes of sound digital dreams of soul mates found and I may be lost.
I can find the lover true in myriad voices echoing through time in a youth’s mien, find the soul that cries my pain and eats my joy with starlight teeth, yet can not lay hand on truth here in the world I walk each day. Gentle creature, mind like fire burns, I find you in each poem read, touch your voice with honeyed sigh, dream your digital form with mine yet can never touch reality. Communication pure as hope in bytes and sounds yet falters . . . Ah, but I know this story well. Too oft’ have I cried my heart only to have it trampled beneath the lust in their eyes and lost in the sharp ignorance of desire. When shall I find brilliant heart sweet soul mate, compassionate mien here, where I may touch the light?
