Of what value is a word? Spoken baldly, naked in its veracity, it might sting harshly or set one free. I know one who makes gifts of words giving freely of her knowledge
her wisdom her hope her laughter.Of what value is a smile? Given freely, glorious in its veracity, it might wound with sarcasm or bring joy. I know one who hands them out like candy these smiles, throwing them widely to touch each aching hearteach solemn mind each answering smile.Of what value is a touch? Given willingly, necessary in its veracity, it might bruise the tortured being or comfort the melancholy soul. I know one who touches everyonesome with hands that soothe some with knowledge that broadens minds some with sarcasm that shatters stereotypes some with laughter that lightens hearts.Of what value is a word, a smile, a touch? Of what value isa friend?
