With Wings Stretched Taut
06.98
With wings stretched taut
I fly above a desolate landscape;
Fulfilling their role they take me higher and higher.
So high the landscape becomes beautiful.
I dream with my eyes wide open,
and yet they are closed.
Reality in truth is but a point of perception.
I choose the clouds.
With wings stretched taut
I fly above a beautiful landscape;
Beholding that which will make me whole.
I see her there amongst the trees.
I dream with my eyes wide open,
and yet they want to close.
Reality in truth is but a point of perception
I choose the trees.
With wings stretched taut
I fly above the girl;
I dip my wings in salute and search her out.
She is a wonderful thing to behold.
I dream with my eyes wide open,
and yet they will not close.
Reality in truth is but a point of perception.
I choose her eyes.
With our wings stretched taut
we fly above the world;
Not worrying with insecurities or remotes.
But teaching each other.
We can dream with our eyes wide open
or with them close;
For reality in truth is but a point of perception.
We choose life.
