Ember and Pyre Flames are twin fiery catgirls who come from a wealthy upper class family. Although their family might not be exactly the most virtuous, especially their father, who is kind of the leader of a catperson mob and crime syndicate... But they still had a happy family life. They were spoiled and cared for, and even though their parents were busy, they usually tried to make time for them. They had an extended family really, with all their fathers' friends, who they were told to call their "uncles", coming in and out of their mansion home. They had a lot of people looking out for them while growing up.
When the girls got older, and what their family did became known, Pyre was all for the family ways, but Ember wanted out. She cared about her family, but wanted nothing to do with the family business. They lived at home through high school, but when they graduated, Ember took her first chance to get away, by signing up at the KKC for college, which is across the country from where she grew up. Her first time away from home was great for Ember and she made lots of new friends. She got into a relationship with a catboy named Virgil, which ended, but they still stayed great friends. Things were going well for her.
Then after her first year, she got a letter from her mother, saying her sister Pyre was coming to see her. Ember wasn't very thrilled about this, and was kind of scared of seeing her sister, because she thought Pyre was coming to bring her back home. But it turned out that Pyre was transferring from the university she had been attending to the KKC to be closer to Ember, probably to keep an eye on her for the family.
Ember then lived in the KKC dorms with her two college friends Kevvy and Tesu, and Pyre lived in a nice apartment across town, attending some KKC classes and spending her evenings out with her two friends Aya and Aki. But recently things have gone all crazy... On Ember's side of things? Kevvy disappeared, Tesu got pregnant and dropped out of the KKC, Nick left too, and then Ember herself got kidnapped and disappeared, then reappeared with a new b/f that is an angel?... As for Pyre... she has two kids with Virgil and they are now engaged. Nabuuru turned Aki into a vampire, and Aya has developed telepathy... Things have really gotten strange... It's just one big fucked up catperson soap opera...
