It all began in the mid 80’s in the city of Atlanta, Ga. A film entitled “Poltergeist” traumatized a young boy by the name of Paul Danda. Bad dreams ensued, and the fear of horror films and novels was born. If being traumatized by a Spielberg and Kahn film wasn’t enough, a little shocker from a man named Tobe Hooper, solidified the fear that was seeded in his brain. That film was “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
As Paul Danda grew up, a natural love for music crept to the surface, and he took to it like stink on shit. A place to vent his creativity, the guitar took over his life from the ages of twelve to twenty-three. Numerous bands, stints with different genres, lots of sex, drugs, and rock & roll took its toll on him causing a natural shift in his attention, bringing Paul to find a new outlet for his creativity. And that begins the start of his love for reading, writing, and film. The traumatized Paul Danda, now a grown man, began reading lots of Stephen King books, Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood,” and discovered Edward Lee’s sick sense of humor. Now he can’t get enough of it. Along with his love for terror, his love for film blossomed to the point of wanting to direct and write for the screen. At some point down the line you’ll be watching a freakish film, and wonder what kind of sick fuck could direct something so atrocious… that’ll be me. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Paul is a cynical, sarcastic, lovable soul that seeps in negativity and spits it out glorified. Delighting in reader's discomfort, his writings of the disturbing kind make him revel in the knowledge of your disgust at what you read. Stay twisted, and be happy. Paul is watching… Paul's magazine of Dark Fiction is debuting October 31st. Visit the site here: http://www.insidiousreflections.com |
