Kimberly: Thanks Nancy, I appreciate that a lot you saying that I am someone to look up to. I am tall.giggles. I tell you its not an easy business, hobby, job whatever one chooses to call it. Its a lot of hard work, tenacity and drive and eventually it pays off, you can make a lot on an A film (about $10,000) and then $150.00 on a B film, been there done that, a lot of the compensation comes from the kindness of fans buying photos and movies and promoting us. I have some great fans that are truly my friends and part of my extended family. You know who you are guys and girls in Australia, Canada, France, Scotland. It is you that keeps me and all the horror actors and actresses going.
Nancy: What is something, if anything; you’d like to change about women in the horror business?
Kimberly: That’s a hard one. I cannot think of anything. We are really in a unique position in this genre, a lot of folks think you cannot make it if you do not do nudes, well I am still around and I have not done them, but I am not knocking them, there is nothing more lovely than the nude female form and I think everyone can agree if its done well it’s a beautiful thing that can enhance a film. Also in the horror biz you can keep going long after 30 or 40 I think that has been proven, can Hollywood really say that? The horror industry gives a lot of the power to females. At least that’s the way I choose to see it.
Nancy: I agree. Have you ever done something crazy as a fan?
Kimberly: I was a bit obsessed over Scott Reiniger for a while as a kid, he was so cute in that swat uniform in Dawn of the Dead, I wrote him and got an email back and he seems really nice. I am over the crush now, but if I were a nutter, he would be the person I would have loved to steal and take home with me.grin
Nancy: If you could give your fans a horror related gift for Christmas, what would you give them?
Kimberly: Lets see a horror related Christmas gift for my fans, how about a Chocolate
Machete.grin. As a remembrance from Psycho Santa that would be perfect.grin
