It all began in the mid 80’s in the city of Atlanta, Ga. A film entitled “Poltergeist” traumatized a young boy by the name of Paul Danda. Bad dreams ensued, and the fear of horror films and novels was born. If being traumatized by a Spielberg and Kahn film wasn’t enough, a little shocker from a man named Tobe Hooper, solidified the fear that was seeded in his brain. That film was “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
As Paul Danda grew up, a natural love for music crept to the surface, and he took to it like stink on shit. A place to vent his creativity, the guitar took over his life from the ages of twelve to twenty-three. Numerous bands, stints with different genres, lots of sex, drugs, and rock & roll took its toll on him causing a natural shift in his attention, bringing Paul to find a new outlet for his creativity. And that begins the start of his love for reading, writing, and film. The traumatized Paul Danda, now a grown man, began reading lots of Stephen King books, Clive Barker’s “Books of Blood,” and discovered Edward Lee’s sick sense of humor. Now he can’t get enough of it. Along with his love for terror, his love for film blossomed to the point of wanting to direct and write for the screen. At some point down the line you’ll be watching a freakish film, and wonder what kind of sick fuck could direct something so atrocious… that’ll be me. Be afraid. Be very afraid. Paul is a cynical, sarcastic, lovable soul that seeps in negativity and spits it out glorified. Delighting in reader's discomfort, his writings of the disturbing kind make him revel in the knowledge of your disgust at what you read. Stay twisted, and be happy. Paul is watching… Paul's magazine of Dark Fiction is debuting October 31st. Visit the site here: http://www.insidiousreflections.com |

John Scalera Currently I'm living in NJ employed as Graphic Artist. I have always loved horror and scary films, fiction and whatever else seems to freak most other "normal" people out. I began creating horror/macabre digital artwork about a year ago. I find it's a great way to express the dark side which I believe resides in all of us to a degree. I sually don't have a blue print for any of the pieces, I start working and each one develops on it's own. http://www.johnscalera.com/ |

Patrick Malone was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Corvallis, Oregon. In 1987, Malone joined the U.S. Navy through the nuclear engineering program, and left sub school first in his class; an Honorman bound for the fleet. He wandered through six countries, and ultimately five different universities and colleges before working at GENENTECH as a research assistant. Later, he took a faculty position at the UCSF School of Medicine, under Nobel laureate Dr. Stanley Prusiner. In 1999, a terrifying laboratory accident convinced him to seek new frontiers.
After modeling and acting for two years, first in Portland, Oregon, and then in Hollywood, Malone continued to develop his presence in the entertainment community as production assistant for film and television, and later as production coordinator in an independent SAG feature film (occasionally fulfilling the role of 2nd assistant director, and executive assistant). Since that time, Malone has discovered a great passion for writing. In the last two years he has published one horror novel with a Bram Stoker nomination, finished two more for this spring, completed 3 TV pilots (two currently under producer review), 4 episodics for current TV series (one produced), 14 feature-length screenplays, with a few garnering several important awards and one now under option contract. Malone recently authored the United States Independent Film and Television Production Incentive Act of 2005, and now works closely with Senator Richard Alarcon and Vice President Vans Stevenson of the Motion Picture Association of America, State Legislative Affairs, to see the new bill to fruition. This year, he plans to sleep. Maybe. http://www.malonescripts.com/index.htm |
