Task 3: Music in Wicker Park

Director Paul McGuigan has stated the importance of music in Wicker Park.  In the commentary for the film he says that each piece of music is indicative of some aspect of a character.  Click here to listen to clips from the soundtrack.   Print out the list of songs included in the official soundtrack.  Choose two songs from the soundtrack and download/print the lyrics.  Click here, here, or here to find the lyrics to your two chosen songs.

Not all of the songs in the film are able to make it on to the official soundtrack for a variety of reasons.  Click here to find all of the music that is included in the film.  Choose one song that does not appear in the soundtrack and download/print the lyrics from the links listed above.

Finally take the three sets of lyrics and create your own song/poem that fits the film.  Use only the words from the three songs in order to create you own song/ poem that reflects the film in some way.  The poem/song must be at least 15 lines long.  Post the written work in your blog account under the title "Wicker Park Song".  Be sure to write what the three songs are that you have chosen in the blog.
