			The Arts Club, 40 Dover Street, London W1 Friday 25th August, 7:30pm She's a fashion icon, muse to David LaChapelle, New York club personality and voice behind the cult track 'My Hair Looks Fierce'. On August 25th, Amanda Lepore - dubbed the number one transsexual in the world - will make her first ever trip to the UK to host an evening of Champagne, fine dining and performance for just one hundred guests. Jodie Harsh, the event's glamorous promoter, has selected The Arts Club in Mayfair as a backdrop for the festivities due to its exclusivity and links with the creative worlds. 'Amanda is an artist to the extreme ', says Jodie. 'She has used plastic surgery and fashion to mould the appearance she desired as she was growing up as a little boy in New Jersey. And of course she is pure glamour - everywhere she walks heads turn. I found her the perfect regal setting in which to entertain her guests'. The evening will commence with a Champagne reception when guests will have the opportunity to meet Amanda and have their picture taken with her. A three course gourmet dinner will then be served in the company of Amanda and her glamorous friends - some of them household names. During the meal legendary cabaret singer Barb Jungr will entertain the crowed with soulful renditions and her tales from New York. An internationally acclaimed singer, performer and writer, Time Out describes her show as ‘soaring with emotion yet holding the intimacy o a private conversation’, while the New York ‘Backstage Awards’ crowned her Best International Artist in 2003. Throughout the evening, close-up magician Fay Presto will dazzle from table to table. A true London legend, Presto has wowed every one from HM The Queen to the queen of pop, Madonna. On the 25thAugust she’s set to surprise a few more queens with her unique brand of illusion. Tatler has named her ‘Party Entertainer of the Year’ and she has even played herself in Emmerdale! As the evening’s grand finale, guests will be treated to the first ever UK performance of Amanda’s three tracks - 'Champagne', 'My Hair Looks Fierce' and 'I Know What Boys Like'. 'This is fantastic value', says Jodie. '£80 would usually get you a piece of raw fish at an up-market sushi bar, but at this event you get a three course meal with champagne and Amanda Lepore, plus performances.
