We used the Freight Forwarder - Shipco Transport (Phils.) Inc. Their price for 1 CM is PHP 10,400 when we send our items last September 2007 from Pasig to Wellington Port. If your baggage is less the 1 CM (7 boxes), you will still pay the same price. They pickup the baggages from our place at Pasig on 04 September 07. When you packed your boxes be sure you have a list of contents for each box. They will require you to make a list of the contents of the boxes with quantity, description and approximate value in PHP. You will then get a document "Export-Sales Invoice" and "Bill of Lading" which you will need to claim your baggage If you don't want any hazzle don't send a vaccum cleaner and some garden accessories or else it will cost you extra money or time. It arrive at Auckland Port on 28 September 07. You then will be contacted by: Profreight International Limited PO Box 201 113 Auckland Airport New Zealand Phone: +64 9 580 3200 Fax: +64 9 580 3201 www.profreight.co.nz You will recieve a document "Arrival Notice" and instructions for clearance of personal effects. In order for your baggages to be release at the port they need to have a document from Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry (MAF) and NZ Customs. This documents must be provided within 4 days or else you will pay storage fee if you require more that 4 days. You have the option to do it by yourself or you let them do it. If you let them do it in behalf of you it will cost you NZ$ 200 - 350. I was frustrated at first because I though I just can pick it up and no hazzle. Shipco Transport didn't advice me about that procedure, my mistake I only make sure with Shipco Transport that I will not be needing any agent which is correct. Good thing that Profreight International are very friendly and are willing to help. They advice me to do it myself as this is more practical beside the procedure is quite easy and detailed. So the next morning I went to MAF at Wellington: Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry Saturn House, Centreport PO Box 3042 Telephone: +64 4 8944213 Faxsimile: +64 4 8944201 Email: mqswlg@maf.govt.nz Web: www.maf.govt.nz/quarantine It is near to the Railway Station at the city. I present the documets that I have and complete an Unaccompanied Personal Baggage Declaration Form. A fee of approximately NZ$28.70 is required. If a MAF inspection is required there is an additional fee, which will be adviced by the MAF office. Since they need to inspect my baggage because of the vaccum cleaner I have the option again that Centre Pac (counterpart of Profreight in Wellington : Phone +64 4 4953817 Fax +64 4 4993693) to open my baggage and find that vaccum for inspection but it will cost me per hour until they found it. Or Centre Pac deliver it to my place for NZ$60 and I pay MAF officer for gas. Or the best way "DIY". Since we dont have a list of the contents of each box and I don't want to spend almost a hundred box , I chooce DIY. Since I will be the one opening the box at the port, I choose to pick it up also and save the 60 bucks when the baggage arrive. MAF fax the documents to Profreight International. It only took me less that 30 minutes and I'm on my way to NZ customs which is two blocks away. In customs, you will need all the above documents, passports of all the family and document from INZ explaining the WTR status (which we already have). It also took me less that 30 minutes. No regret that I did it by myself. So it only takes a half day of leave. After 2 days my baggage arrive at wellington port. I opened the baggage and showed the vaccum cleaner in question to MAF officer. After that off I go with my baggage. Another half day of leave versus almost NZ$400. Hope this serve as a guide for you.
