Another Larry Lager star on the DL??
Middle
of No Where, MI - Matt Lapinski, the star pitcher and league leader
for the Larry Lager's, had an unfortunate incident with a door late
Sunday night at his home in the middle of no where. He was
letting the family dog out to do its business when his foot got
caught underneath the corner of the basement door. The result
was a large gash that spans the entire length of his left heal.
Matt refuses to go to the doctor for fear of stitches.
"It's not the stitches that I'm worried about" says
Lapinski "It's being out for a majority of the season."
To top things off Lapinski had already been experiencing foot
problems in his left foot. "I visited my physician last
week" states Lapinski, "his preliminary indication was a
possible stress fracture, he took x- rays and referred me to a foot
specialist." Lapinski's appointment is scheduled for July
1 when a more precise diagnosis will be made. In the mean time
Lapinski is still training with teammate Josh Steiger who is almost
100% again for opening day of the regular season which kicks-off
with a bang this week at Eye of the Steiger Field. |
