The Rise and Fall of Matt Sutter

Matt Sutter, the former star of the F.H. Lacrosse has just finished up one of the most disappointing seasons ever! Sutter was a top pre season candidate for the MVP and CY YOUNG. In the Memorial Day Tournament, Sutter was literally "EN FUEGO" torching opponents with his hitting and pitching. With his HOT hitting and pitching, the F.H. Lacrosse were without a doubt the most feared team going into season play.  But as the season ended, Sutter was more of a "one hit wonder" as they say in the music industry, not doing too much after that day. He finished the season hitting a "chump" like .171 with no homeruns and 6 strikeouts. A .171 average in Wiffle WarsŪ is outlandishly pitiful!! Even Lapinski almost beat him....but on a bright note, he did pitch well, thought not as good as everyone thought he would, he did finish 4th in the League in E.R.A. with a 5.50 e.r.a.  No one knows what happened to him. Adam Dove had no comment except this, "Sutter was the sparkplug. Apparently, he ran out of  sparks. He was suppose to carry this team and somehow I ended up doing most of the carrying. And if I'm doing the carrying it makes for a long season."  How could someone be so good one day and be so awful the next few days? Was it his birthday???? Who knows what went wrong...not even Sutter himself. An episode of Matt Sutter's Rise and Fall will be on Unsolved Mysteries sometime in the near future.
