Prince of Whales
Dear Stigney,

The reason the Whale ended up in the Thames is because, like so many marine mammals, birds and bats, it lost its way due to Mankind filling the air with TV, Radio, Radar, Mobile Phone, Sonar and sattelite signals, that interfere with these creatures' natural sonar signals. (their 'homing devices).
In trying to save the creature, the conservationists not only stressed it out even more by lifting it out of the water (animals have no idea that we are trying to help them) - the action of lifting it out of the safety of the water put enormous pressure upon the whales body, causing its internal organs to become crushed by its own weight.
It would have been better to strap it to the barge under water, and gently lead it out to sea.
Unfortunately, in trying to 'help' animals, we often do more harm than good.

Welcome back!

Stigneys answer: Then why does Pete have a mobile phone? Surely it cant be him on the blower making the whale lose direction?
Is Pete Phsycic?
Dear Stigney,
Incidentally, as I have said often on Three Counties radio, - I believe the reason why there are more earthquakes and 'natural' disasters is because we have been taking oil (which has taken nature billions of years to create) from the earth in only the last 100 years or so. I believe nature put it there for the purpose of 'oiling the machinery' of the techtonic plates, - but we have now burt most of it up!
I also believe that coal, peat, metals, stones, were all put into the ground for a reason, - Nature NEVER does anything WITHOUT reason, - and our greed is messing up the whole balance of the planet.

Stigneys answer: Question is, how do we put it back?
And who said electric cars were crap?
Hi Stigney!

Just to put you right on electric cars. They can go from 0-60 mph in 30 seconds actually, - faster than petrol-driven cars.
I take it you are not old enough to remember trolleybuses, (electric) that took off so fast from the bus stop that you couldn't catch up with it from standing! (Woops! Many a nasty accident trying to run after it I remember!)
Admittedly, running a car from electric cables above the road isn't very practical, and you are right, - electric cars have to be recharged from the mains, - but what's wrong with filling stations providing this service, along with replacement batteries, - like we did in the forties and fifties with the old radio 'accumulator' battery? ( I suppose you are too young to remember them too, hey?
Also, because you simply push your foot down further for acceleration, there is virtually no limit on how fast an electric car can go
Dangerous? NO! What is more dangerous than sitting on top of a tank full of highly-combustible fuel?
I also send you a piccie of an electric car that isn't funny-looking! The only reason they have been designed like Noddy cars up to now is that the oil industry has had a strong say in them, and have only highlighted the comical ones in order to ridicule the idea!
I have also attached a fuel-cell car that runs on water, converting the hydrogen in the water to electricity. can you imagine filling your car up from the kkitvhen sink taop? Long hoses are easier to get hold of than long extention leads!
Sorry Stig, - but there is a great future for electric cars.
No har feelings?
The Brainy and good-looking Pete Perry!
Stigneys answer: I thought you were good at english. sorry i dunno wot to say.
