| Bill Belichick why have you continually totured me since January 1991? | |||||
| Bill Belichick is the worst human being ever, well maybe he's the second worst human ever with Kevin Gilbride being the first. (I'm beginning to think that Kordell Stewart and even Ryan Leaf aren't that bad, its Kevin suckbride that ruined them. Just think, if the Chargers had a real head coach when they drafted Leaf maybe it would have been Leaf throwing three interceptions to Ty Law in the AFC championship game) But back to the point. Belichick isn't that great. He obviously has no clue what a mirror is. Has he ever looked at his haircut or his outfits on the sidelines. It looks like he asked his 300 pound, 6 foot five brother for his Patriots hooded sweatshirt and than cut the sleeves down so it would fit him. Bill, we all know you make millions of dollars, you can afford better. Furthermore, he's not that much of a genius. I'll admit he is a very good coach who, from all the NFL propaganda, seems to work very hard at his job. He did stop two of the greatest offenses ever in the 90 Bills and 2001 Rams, but I think just as he drops back 8 defensive players to play the pass, his defenses can be beat or at the least to make his "exotic passes" ineffective. Here's how I would do it: 1. Run the ball. What does his defenses do best? Stop revved up passing attacks. Why don't teams just run against him? If the Bills in Super Bowl XXV had run Thurman THomas just a little bit more, or if Norwood had hit that field goal all this Belichick crap would have been ended years ago. The same goes for the Rams and running Marshall Faulk. And for the Colts in this year AFC championship game. All these teams had awesome running backs but decided to rely on passing to beat Belichick. Belichick will come out with exotic and brand new packages for any big game. But what are all those packages designed to do? Mostly to pressure and confuse the quarterback - these are for passing situations. If you run the ball, all his new exotic looks and "crazy" 8 men drop backs become useless and he can't fool the quarterback into doing anything dumb. A smart game plan that involves a majority of running plays can dismantle Belichick. 2. Point out to the refs that Belichick is cheating. I could have the best coverage secondary in the league if my players were allowed to cheat on every play by chucking after 5 yards and continually holding onto the recievers too. Listen, I like physical play with the recievers some of the no calls in the Patriots- Colts game were unbelievable. Every reciever, the quarterback and all the coaches should be continually complaining and pointing out to the refs that roman pifer (what the hell is he doing playing football anymore anyways) is breaking some rule about pass coverage on every single play. The same goes with all the other Patriots defenders who drop back into coverage. If a team can get the refs to start calling some of those obvious penalties and the Patriots can't cheat, than throwing to the hot reciever on a blitz just got a whole lot easier. And if those blitzes start getting burned, liked they should be if the Patriots weren't allowed to cheat, than the defense doesn't look that good anymore. 3. Keep running the ball. Who has ever said that the Patriots are a great run stopping team? Ted Washington is a good run stopper. But who else is really known in that front seven as big run players. Willie McGinnest and Richard Seymour are both really good but they made thier name in rushing the passer. Its not that they can't play the run its that I doubt guys like Tedy Bruschi (aka Scott Baio on steroids) or Mike Vrabel are really that good. Come on people, Larry Izzo is a back up linebacker on this team now. They can be run on. And, like any NFL game once an offense can start running the ball they can start calling play action passes and start throwing on odd downs to start confusing Belichicks defense. God I am so smart. I should have been hired as the Bills new offensive coordinator My Superbowl Prediction: The Panthers (no score yet) Maybe its the fact that I have the strongest dislike for the Patriots but I think the Panthers can win this. I especially like them as 7 point underdogs. But the Panthers have all the qualities to beat Belichick. They are a run oreintated team that continually pounds the ball. They have a power guy with Stephen Davis and a fast, around the corner guy in Deshaun Foster. I can't wait to watch Tedy Bruschi try to catch up to him on the outside. Plus they don't like throwing the ball. Delhomme threw like 18 times the whole NFC championship game. You know what that would mean against Belichick - only 18 times the whole game where he can try to throw out some weird defense to confuse the quarterback or blitz him. With that type of commitment to the run I think the Panthers can easily pull this off and prove me right. (Note: If the Patriots do win the Super Bowl, especially if its a route, this page may quickly disapeer and be replaced by a page that describes how Bill Belichick was the only man in the universe who could have possibly stopped the 1990 Bills.) |
