| Wiggle buys centre
Jeff Fatt - AKA "Wake up Wiggle" by Lucy Ardern WAKE up Jeff from the Wiggles certainly seems to be alert in his business dealings, with his latest acquisition being a $3 million property at Bargara. Jeff Fatt, who sings and plays the keyboard in the popular four-man children's group, is a member of the family consortium that purchased Bargara’s most expensive property on Friday. The Centrepoint building, which houses several Bundaberg businesses, including Hugos restaurant and Bargara Real Estate, went for a record figure. Bargara Real Estate agent Perry Davies, who sold Centrepoint, said it was the most expensive property sold in the area. "This syndicate is also interested in other opportunities in Bargara," he said. "They can see that this coastal strip is on the move." Mr Davies said he hoped the announcement would put to rest the many rumours which had been circulating about the changes that would follow the property changing hands. "There are no plans to make any significant changes," he said. "There will be upgrades." The property was settled at 11.30am yesterday. It was owned by Leon Solomon for several years before the sale. |
