The boys are such big fans of The Wiggles that I decided to paint one of their bedroom walls with their favourite characters. You too can transform your little fans room. Here are the steps.
Step 1. If you aren't confident enough to draw the pictures onto the wall you can use the picture of the guys in the Big Red car on the right & enlarge it to the size you want and then print it out onto sheets of paper, tape them to the wall & draw over it with a pencil with light force, this will leave the outlines on the wall. You can then faintly draw over the lines with pencil.
Step 2. You will need artist brushes & paint in the appropriate colours. I found it handier to buy small tester pots of paint, you can mix them to make lighter or darker shades.
Step 3 . Follow these same instructions using the templates on the right. To get the leaf effect on the trees I painted them a light green & with a small sponge, sponged a darker green over it. For the grass I did the same, for the sky I used a colour wash effect in pale blue & then sponged clouds on using white paint. |
