Computer History: A year after the Altair was produced, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak produced the Apple II that was assembled and complete with its own keyboard and monitor. It was an immediate success, priced within the reach of the enthusiast and supporting some basic software applications that showed its true usefulness. The Apple II was quickly assimilated into schools and colleges and was the basis of many early "microprocessor" courses. That same year the Microsoft and Apple Corporations were founded.
