I can not Thank Jerri enough for all of her help. She was the one that always had me on track. Jerri's major responsiblity with the reunion was the accountant. This was a huge undertaking and took alot of her time. Many may not know but organizing this reunion required obtaining a tax number and opening a savings account. It was Jerri that took the time to make it all possible. She was the one that made all the trips to the bank each and every time a check or money order was sent. It was Jerri that wrote out all the checks for deposits and final payments. This reunion would not have been possible without Jerri helping me. I can not take full responsibilty for a wonderful reunion because without Jerri always on the other end of the computer or the (long distance) phone, I would have thrown the towel and called it quits more than once. I can go on and on about her duties to make the reunion work, but no one will ever know or appreciate her as much as I do. It's funny, Jerri and I never really knew each other in high school, but after the first meeting in Ohio in August to try and organize this reunion we clicked. As each day passed and we continued to "IM" each other daily it felt as if we had been friends forever. I am very delighted that I can now call her my dear friend from high school. Now that the reunion is over we both feel a little lost. Thank you Jerri....from the top and bottom of my heart. |
I am going to give thanks to everyone that helped to make the reunion a wonderful event. Yes, Jerri and I took the time to work out the details but without help from so many others, I am afraid to see the final result. This was a group effort and so many donated their time and special items to make it memorable. It will be long so I will highlight the names so the next time you see them, tell them Thanks too. Donna Freshour, A huge thank you too. Donna's many hours of phone work to locate many of the classmates was not in vain. We thank you for all your help locating many of our dear friends that attended. Thank you for the orginal idea of the Multi-Year reunion way back when you posted on the other Alumni site. You started the idea and helped to make it wonderful. All your time and effort on the snail mailers and the day of the reunion taking time to get the surveys copied. Thanks for still being a wonderful friend and still willing to help after 20 years. |
Kent Henkaline, THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR WIFE ! We all appreciate her help and thank you for allowing us to take up so much of her time. Thanks for your ongoing phone contacts and being a great "information giver." Thanks for the great looking WELCOME SIGN at the registration area! Great Job!! Thanks for taking on the experiement of the balloon arch and making it work along with Donnie Miller and Greg Northern. And most of all Kent , THANKS FOR BEING YOU! |
Jim Zajbel, Thanks for your words of wisdom and constant encouragement !!! Thanks for being the MC, and taking on that responsibilty. Thanks for your constant monetary offers to make it work if needed and your help contacting the class of 1982, you really helped in making the reunion a success ! Biggest thanks to you and your Mother (www.giftsbybarb.com) for the wonderful stress relief baskets and wonderful gratitute presentation to us. That was so nice. |
Mary Spatz (Creative Memories Consultant ) Thanks for your donation of the wonderful Pilots Memory Album and free class. |
Steve Fink, (www.wilburwrightonline.com) I can not say Thank you enough to this man. Steve was the programming mind behind the survey, the one that made it work. Without his hard work and dedication to the reunion many of the Awards presented would not have been possible without the information obtained using the online survey. Thank you Steve for your photography. Just one of the many things that made the reunion that much more special. The pictures turned out great and it is very nice to be able to go to your web site and view them. Makes the memories come back more vividly. Can not wait to buy your CD. Thanks for taking the time to create the CD and making it available. Lastly, thanks for always being at the computer when I have a question or just to talk. Your the best! |
Eric Welch Thanks for your donation your own private stock of HOME BREW. He donated 12 bottles of beer he brewed. I am disappointed Jerri and I didn't hold it back for ourselves. I am sure BILL MARSH & HOPE BARBER enjoyed it! |
The winner of the DVD Player was Terry Swaney. Congratulations and we sincerely hope you enjoyed yourself ! |
Joe Braden (www.iwantfudge.com) Thanks for your generous donation of DELICIOUS FUDGE!!! I am quite sure Homer & Tammy Rogers enjoyed it. For those that didn't win the fudge, hope you sampled it from the buffet table it was courtesy of Joe also. Jerri and I wanted you to know the little that was left, was still delicious at 2 am, especially the mint! Thanks so much. |

Beth Waldren, A hugh thanks...she scanned and copied all of her 1982 photo and brought to the reunion to display.. Jane McIntosh for her bag of goodies to help complete the display boards. Maria Harr, Dalania Woods, Teri Taramuto, Tonia Freshour & her husband, Donnie Miller, Steve Fink, Jane & Greg McIntosh, Kent & Jerri Henkaline and Tom Daly. We had a good time looking over the photos and other items that took us down memory lane. It was hard to believe it was actually 20 years ago. Thank you all for joining in and making it work. |
Greg Northern (Jane Mc Intosh's wonderful husband) He blessed us with prayer. We appreciated your prayer and kind words of encouragement. We are so glad you both enjoyed yourselves. Congratulations to YOU !! 20 happily years of marriage giving them the Longest Married Award. Enjoy your dinner at Longhorn ! |
Roy Roark, A GREAT BIG THANKS TO YOU!! Remember those beautiful cakes (pictures soon) well Roy sure does! It was 4:15pm and we had just completed decorating for the reunion. We all think everything is going as scheduled. We decide to take a well deserved break and regroup with everyone and I realized THE CAKES, WE FORGOT THE CAKES. Yes they were suppose to be picked up by 4:30. One huge problem, we are on Needmore and the cakes are in West Carrollton. Someone sayed to call Darrell Adams he is right by there. Well Darrell isn't home, so Donna says...Roy, call Roy, he is close. I dialed Roy's number (havent talked to him in 21 years) and he answers....."Hi this is Alisa Daly ....blah blah blah," I was talking a mile a minute because the bakery (A Taste of Elegance) says well you have to be here by 5, we might wait, we might not. Roy ,thank goodness is a very good listener and says SURE, I can pick them up. OOOPPPPS we have the check, 70.00, Roy says no problem, I will get them. You will, I screamed Oh THANK YOU THANK YOU. Well there are not many people wiling to part with $70.00 with a phone call from a almost stranger, but Roy did and we sure appreciated his efforts in clearing up that little oversight. Yes, we did repay and thanked him then, but once more is still not enough. Thanks again Roy! **If you remember Woody's cakes this bakery was started by some people that worked at Woody's after they closed. They are the best! |
Charlie Weizman WOW! Charlie orginally started out as one of our helpers to spread the word around the old home area. I am not sure but somewhere we lost track of him. He continued to spread the word. Well once we found him again, he graciously took on the responsiblilty of creating the DAYTON MADE Basket. We wanted to give away a basket containing items that were made in Dayton. Well we had no idea he would rock our socks off with such a great one. This basket was actually a LAUNDRY WICKER BASKET,so you can imagine the size. It contained (I am trying to remember the number, may be off by a few ) 16 bags of Mike Sell's potato chips all varieties, two and a half pound box of Ester Price Candy (they refused to donate anything) a tool kit , 2 ten dollar gift certificates from Joes Pizza and a 6 pack of pepsi in cans that the tops were made in Dayton. The value of this basket was right at $150.00. Jerri and Kent had already shopped for other Dayton Items which included a Dayton T-shirt, keychain and pennant from UD. So that was also included in the basket. What a great gift !!! The name drawn for that was Mary Spatz and we sincerely hope that she is enjoying it. You lucky thing...no Mike Sells or Ester Price here in Florida!!! I am envious. For the record Charllie bought all of his items and donated to the reunion as a gift. The reunion committee (Jerri and I) felt this it was only right for us to split the cost with him from the reunion fund. So a very big thanks to Charlie for the great basket!!! |
99 percent of those surveyed loved the idea of the Multi-Year reunion. |
