'Casablanca' Remake to Star Pitt, Jones

Super-hunk Brad Pitt, who will direct a '90s remake of the 1942 classic "Casablanca," surprised Hollywood insiders yesterday by selecting a relative unknown to play opposite him in the role of Ilsa, made famous by Ingrid Bergman.

"I could have gotten Julia or Sandra or even Madonna," said Pitt, who will play the Humphrey Bogart role of Rick, "but Sherry Jones smolders like wet dynamite!"

Jones is a Hollywood newcomer whose only previous acting experience was in school pageants and community theater in West Jefferson, North Carolina.

"Brad and I had a long lunch at Pizza Hut while he was filming '12 Monkeys,'" said Jones. "I told him I would do the film only if he leaves his hair long, blond and loose for the nude love scenes."

Filming will start this summer. "I'm stoked about this project," Pitt said. "The heat Sherry generates on screen will destroy marriages all over the world."
