~May You Always Feel Loved!~

~Author Unknown~

May you find serenity and tranquility
in a world you may not always understand.

May the pain you have known
and the conflict you have experienced
give you the strength to walk through life
facing each new situation
with optimism and courage.

Always know that there are those
whose love and understanding
will always be there
even when you feel most alone.

May you discover enough goodness in others
to believe in a world of peace.
May a kind word, a reassuring touch,
a warm smile, be yours every day of your life,
and may you give these gifts as well as receive them.

Remember the sunshine when the storm seems unending.
Teach love to those who know hate,
and let that love embrace you as you go into the world.

May the teaching of those you admire
become part of you,
so that you may call upon them.

Remember, those whose lives you have touched
and who have touched yours are always a part of you,
even if the encounters were less
than you would have wished.

May you not become too concerned
with material matters, but instead place
immeasurable value on the goodness in your heart.

Find time in each day to see the beauty
and love in the world around you.
Realize that each person has limitless abilities,
but each of us is different in our own way.

What you may feel you lack in one regard
may be more than compensated for in another.
What you feel you lack in the present
may become one of your strengths in the future.

May you see your future
as one filled with promise and possibility.
Learn to view everything
as a worthwhile experience.

May you find enough inner strength
to determine your own worth by yourself,
and not be dependent on another's judgements
of your accomplishments.
May you always feel loved.

When We Two Parted

Copyright of Lord Byron

When we two parted
In silence and tears,
Half broken-hearted
To sever for years,
Pale grew thy cheek and cold,
Colder thy kiss;
Truly that hour foretold
Sorrow to this.

The dew of the morning
Sunk chill on my brow--
It felt like the warning
Of what I feel now.
Thy vows are all broken,
And light is thy fame;
I hear thy name spoken,
And share in its shame.

They name thee before me,
A knell to mine ear;
A shudder comes o'er me--
Why wert thou so dear?
They know not I knew thee,
Who knew thee too well:--
Long, long shall I rue thee,
Too deeply to tell.

In secret we met--
In silence I grieve
That thy heart could forget,
Thy spirit deceive.
If I should meet thee
After long years,
How should I greet thee?--
With silence and tears.

Love at First Sight

~Author Unknown~

Do I believe in love at first sight?
Forgive the laugh, but the question is so naive!
Youthful fancies hardly encompass the complexities
of mature relationships.
True, you are quite beautiful, but one cannot know
true inner beauty at first glance. It's much deeper
and takes time to be revealed.
Your skin is perhaps softer than the flowing foam of
some gently murmuring distant shore, but what of it?
That's not love.
I do notice that your hands are more graceful than a
ballet of swaying boughs and your laughter a dance
of dappled sunlight.
And in your eyes are glimmering pools of joy and tenderness,
warm swirls of innocence and passion, playfulness and
understanding.
And in your eyes, Beauty laughs and plays and sings
and calls my name.
And Trust with Caution pleads and cooing Passion intervenes,
and Grace extends her open arms, and I surrender silently.
But love at first sight? How can it be?

Faith

~Author Unknown~

I will not doubt, though all my ships at sea
Come drifting home with broken masts and sails;
I shall believe the Hands which never fails,
From seeming evil worketh good to me;
And, though I weep because those sails are battered,
Still will I cry, while my best hopes lie shattered,
"I trust in Thee."

I will not doubt, though all my prayers return
Unanswered from the still, white realm above,
I shall believe it is an all-wise Love
Which has refused those things for which I yearn;
And though, at times, I cannot keep from grieving,
Undimmed shall burn.

I will not doubt, though sorrows fall like rain,
And troubles swarm like bees about a hive;
I shall believe the heights for which I strive,
And, though I groan and tremble with my crosses,
I yet shall see, through my severest losses,
The greater gain.

I will not doubt; well anchored in the faith,
Like some stanh ship, my soul braves every gale,
So strong its courage that it will not fail
To breast the mighty, unknown sea of death.
Oh, may I cry when body parts with spirit,
"I do not doubt," so listening worlds may hear it
With my last breath.

ANYWAY

~Author Unknown~

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
LOVE THEM ANYWAY.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
DO GOOD ANYWAY

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
BE HONEST AND FRANK ANYWAY.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
DO GOOD ANYWAY.

The biggest people with biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest people with the smallest minds.
THINK BIG ANYWAY.

People favor underdogs but follow only the top dogs.
FIGHT FOR SOME UNDERDOGS ANYWAY.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
BUILD ANYWAY.

Give the world the best you have you'll get kicked in the teeth.
GIVE THE WORLD THE BEST YOU HAVE ANYWAY!

Risk Taking Is Free

~Author Unknown~

To LAUGH is to risk appearing the fool.
To WEEP is to risk appearing sentimental.
To REACH OUT for another is to risk involvement.
To EXPOSE FEELINGS is to risk exposing your true self.
To PLAY your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd is to risk their loss.
To LOVE is to risk not being loved in return.
To LIVE is to risk dying. To HOPE is to risk despair.
To TRY is to risk failure.

But risk must be taken,
because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
THE PERSON WHO RISKS NOTHING
DOES NOTHING
HAS NOTHING
IS NOTHING

He may avoid suffering and sorrow
but he simply cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, and live.
Chained by his certitudes
He is a SLAVE
He has forfeited FREEDOM.
ONLY A PERSON WHO RISKS IS FREE!

Success and You

~Author Unknown~

If you think you're a winner...you'll win.
If you dare to step out you'll succeed.
Believe in your heart. You'll have a purpose to start.
Aim to help fellow man in his need.

Thoughts of faith must replace every doubt.
Words of courage and you cannot fail.
If you stumble and fall, rise and stand 10 feet tall.
You determine the course that you sail.

For in life as in death, don't you see,
It's the man who has nothing to fear.
Who approaches the gates, stands for a moment and waits.
Feels the presence of God oh so near.

You've been given the power to see.
What it takes to be a real man.
Let your thinking be pure, it will make you secure.
If you want to, you know that you can!

Lord Forgive Me When I Whine

~Author Unknown~

Today upon a bus, I saw a lovely girl with golden hair.
I envied her...she seemed so gay.
And I wished I were as fair.
When suddenly she rose to leave.
I watched her hobble down the isle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed...she smiled!
Oh God forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs. The world is mine!

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him. He seemed so glad.
If I were late "twould be no harm."
And as I left he said to me. "I thank you.
You have been so kind.
It's nice talk to folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh God forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes. The world is mine!

Later, while walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play.
He did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment, then I said,
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears. The world is mine!

With feet to take me where I'd go.
With eyes to see the sunsets glow.
With ears to hear what I would know.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine.
I'm blessed indeed! The world is mine!

To Any Little Boys Father

~Author Unknown~

There are little eyes upon you, and they're watching night and day.
There are little ears that quickly take in everything you say.
There are little hands all eager to do everything you do.
And a little boy who's dreaming of the day he'll be like you.

You're the little fellows idol, you're the wisest of the wise.
In his little mind, about you no suspicions ever arise.
He believes in you devotely, holds all you say and do.
He will say and do in your way, when he's grown up just like you.

There's a wide-eyed little fellow who believes you're always right.
And his ears are always open and he watches day and night.
You are setting an example every day in all you do.
For the little boy who's waiting to grow up and be like you.

No Title

Joe Hacala

Take time to listen, and you will find friends.
Be careful not to judge, you haven't been there for the whole trial.
Remember who the "experts" are, in poverty and living.
Avoid leadership unless you plan to stay.
Admit to powerlessness, it's innate in your humanity.
Find reason to laugh, it's a characteristic of courage.
Be grateful for what you have learned, for you will have taught little.
Pray for the rich, they have a much greater problem.
Celebrate a small success, else you may not celebrate at all.
Tolerate hostility, for is the offspring of oppression.
Respect the humility of daily humanity and you will have witnessed the ultimate prayer.
Feel good when giving of that which you have.
Expect blessings while giving of that which you have little.

Let Go

~Author Unknown~

To "let go" does not mean to stop caring...it means I can't do it for someone else.
To "let go" is not to cut myself off...it's the realization that I can't control another.
To "let go" is not to enable...but to allow learning from consequences.
To "let go" is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To "let go" is not to try to change or blame another...it's to make the most of myself.
To "let go" is not to care for...but to care about.
To "let go" is not to fix...but to be supportive.
To "let go" is not to judge...but to allow another to be a human being.
To "let go" is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes...but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To "let go" is not to be protective...it is to permit another to face reality.
To "let go" is not to deny...but to accept.
To "let go" is not to nag, scold and argue...but instead to search out my shortcomings and correct them.
To "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires...but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it.
To "let go" is not to criticize and regulate anybody...but to try to become what I dream to be.
To "let go" is not to regret the past...but to grow and live for the future.
To "let go" is to fear less and love more!

What is Love

Written By and Copyright of Sherry A.K.A.Wild Angel

Love is an extension of the soul
An immaterial purified essence

Love does not confine; it frees
Love does not charm; it blesses
Love is not a sporadic zeal
For it is eternal

The most evil of all evil cannot touch love
For it cannot be stolen or destroyed

Love has no depth; for it is depthless
No height; for it is heightless
Love cannot be measured
For it is infinite

Love is an everlasting, immortal entity
Which develops us into what we are meant to be

We must allow this love
To flow through our souls
Deeper than the deepest ocean
Higher than the highest mountain

Love is not of the blood nor of the flesh
It is a spirit which unfolds from the softest of silks

Love is a transcendental ball of passion
One touched by loves passion is never the same
For love in its purest form
Is a shared affection of boundless ardor

Love does not detest nor limit
For pure love is unconditional

Prince of Darkness

Written By and Copyright of Sherry A.K.A.Wild Angel

In the deep silence of the night
He appears mysteriously
Ripping and tearing through
My wretched soul

He breathes fear and doubt
So deep inside me
He imprisions me with chains
Of solitude and terror

Gently, he cuts through my heart
With his jagged sword
I bleed endless tears of
distress and agony

Yearning for the freedom
Of this unbearable confinement
My being screams
For peace and harmony

As I awake to the beauty
Of the new dawn
I feel raped of
All dignity and power

My spirit cries for
The Gods to protect me
For the moment, I find
Relief from the insanity

I feel the warmth of
Sunbeams on my face
I breathe in sweet scents
Of sporadic blossoms

I feel tranquility
embedded in the wind
I taste the essence of
Wine within my blood

I am relieved of
Agony and suffering
And given serenity
By an unknown presence...

Until the deep silence of
The night comes again
And I am dreadfully reunited with
My Prince of Darkness

I Set You Free

Written By and Copyright of Sherry A.K.A.Wild Angel

Each night before I fall asleep...
A tear rolls gently down my cheek...

Echoes of your name...images of your face...
The taste of your kiss...feeling your warm embrace...

Of the way you held me in your arms so tight...
Of the beautiful love we made each night...

Of the way you softly caressed my hair...
And knowing deep within that you truly cared...

There were no words to define...
The love betwixt your heart and mine...

Reflections of our first date out in the snow...
Recalling the saddness when you had to go...

The walks, the talks, the dinners, the tears...
Losing you was such an overwhelming fear...

These things I remember seem so long ago...
I never thought we would seperate our souls...

So now my fears have become reality...
There is no longer a "you and me"...

The laughter is gone...it hurts so bad...
We've lost our bond...I feel so sad...

Hearts destroyed...beyond repair...
The unhappiness at times is so hard to bear...

Now we are traveling different roads...
With each carrying our own seperate load...

The damage is done...the willingess gone...
This pain inside...just can't go on...

No longer an "us"... can't you see?
For you are You and I am Me...

There is so much healing for me to do...
But with the help of God I will make it through...

If I should die before the next day I see...
Remember I love you and that is why I set you free...

Claybank Hill

Written By and Copyright of Sherry A.K.A.Wild Angel

Now as I was young and simple under the cherry branches
About the merry house and happy as the sky was blue
The twinkling nighttide above the rural earth,
Time let me chortle and soar
Precious in the golden-age of her eyes,
And admired among nature, I was princess of the forest
And once under a time I proudly owned the trees and animals
Trail rocks and grapevines
In harmony with wilderness of the daylight.

And I was blue and carefree, famous among the country
About the happy lawn and singing as the homeplace was cozy,
In the daystar that is youthful once only,
Time let me play and breathe
Precious is the grace of her manner,
And blue and precious I was heroic and fearless, the birds
Sang to my command, the lions roared clear and cold,
And the angels came slowly
To the limbs of the sacred trees.

All the daylight long it was graceful, it was pleasant, the forest
As high as the sky, the tunes from the leaves, it was air
And playing, lovely and delightful
And fire blue as the sky.
And nightly under the starlight
As I flew to sleep, the crickets were surrounding the grass away
All the nighttide long I heard, sacred among the forest, the wind
Blowing with ease, and wild animals
Blazing into the dark.

And then to awaken, and the homeplace, like a drifter
With the dew, come back, the bird on her shoulder, it was all
Sparkling, it was Eve and her lad,
The sky awoke again
And the clouds were feathery that very day.
So it must have been after the delivery of the simple light
In the first, the mesmerized birds flying graciously
Out of the wild blue forest
Up to the skies of praise and brilliance.

And honored among pheasants and lions by the homeplace
Under the new made sun and happy as a lark,
In the clouds made over and over,
I ran my carefree ways,
My wishes raced through the sky high trees
And nothing I cared, at my sky blue playtimes, that time allows
In all her melodious change so few and such daybreak tunes
Before the children blue and carefree
Follow her out of grace

Nothing I cared, in the simple days, that time would take me
Out to the crowded towns by the shadow of my hand,
In the moonbeam that is always ascending,
Nor that flying to sleep
I should hear her fly with high trees
And awake to the homeplace forever escaping from the childless land.
Oh as I was young and innocent in the mercy of her manners,
Time held me blue and lifeless
Though I sang in my shackles like the seasons.
