So much is said about cowboys in this day
But I guess we've all forgotten about the cowgirl way
The ones that rope and ride along with all the men
And who are waitin for that perfect cowboy and won't
settle for much till then
They may live a life chasin' a few barrels or poles
Trying hard to stay away from life's big holes
Like fallin in love only to end up with a broken heart
All they know is that you'll never tear a girl and
her trusty horse apart
But still many say cowgirls, they can't do it, it
can't be done
But I've seen a lot that have beaten the boys when it
comes to the buckles they've won
Yet there's many out there that we overlook, that
won't ever ride for a buckle or even buy a brand new
hat
They're just as happy working the cattle or mending
the fences, and that's that!
Ones that'll run the ranch when there aren't any men
to be found
Or who aren't afraid to get back on after being thrown
to the ground
So I'm tellin ya'all out there don't forget and be
thankful everyday
That there are still some of us livin the cowgirl
way...
