Colorado Wrestling Trip
Along the way the group took in vastly different cultures and saw much history. They stayed one night in Las Vegas, NV and enjoyed a night on "the strip" at M&M World, Coca-Cola World and Game Works!!!
After leaving Vegas the team was treated to an afternoon in the ghosttown Oatman, AZ. They fed the wandering Burros on Route 66 and witnessed a gunfight from the top floor of the haunted Oatman Hotel.
Night #2 was spent on Route 66 in Williams, AZ. The next day the Wildcats were awestruck by the beauty and enormity of the Grand Canyon and were humbled by the Navajo Nation, the beautiful painted desert and the Monument Valley!!!
They arrived in Cortez, CO the night before the Four Corners Invitational and rested up before the big event. On April 1st the ten "Road Warriors" entered the field as the only team from the Golden State and were dubbed "Team California." Each and every Wildcat wrestled valiantly as they all achieved medals which they brought back to Vallejo, CA on the haul through a Utah snowstorm
and the barren stretch of I-80 in Nevada.
Even greater was the prize of friendship and memories the group brought back and will keep with them for many years to come!!!
