On the Rock
Mountain biking in the local forest,Luke and I happened upon some neat little boulders just asking to be climbed.Despite being shod in outsized trainers,11 year old Luke swarmed up the most appealling line with more style and grace than his clumsy pater !
It's amazing how some youngsters are just naturals when it comes to climbing

Toby Ballagh on belay.
In April the legendary Jim Perrin joined us at Craig y Tonnau in the Lledr Valley where I was introducing the children of a mutual friend of ours, Jackie Ballagh,to the rough, gritstone like delights of this fine little crag.
In May Liam and I joined Terry Taylor for a spot of new routing at Craig Fridd Fach on Rhobell Fawr.We climbed three new routes including an E2 led by Terry and two fine Severes.
Hidden Depths
was an amazing trad line which climbed a hidden flake and emerged through a gap in the roof.Walk without fear, was more conventional although it involved climbing past several dubious, but apparently solid inset flakes in the corner.

Rick Robson of Shrewsbury MC on Parchment Passage VD, US 5.3,,Dinas Cromlach,N Wales.
Rick on the airy ramp of Parchment Passage.
On a balmy evening in July I joined family friend Rick Robson and his fellow Shrewsbury MC members for an evenings climbing on Dinas Cromlach. We knocked off two Menlove Edward Routes. Both steep, exposed and offering some pumpy moves !
Parchment Passage although only graded VD seems undergraded to me.I would suggest at least severe/HS.
