I can honestly blame The Kahuna for starting all of this. He was my first dog after Jerry and
I married and the first dog I had had in about ten years. It was through him that I became
acquainted with Roberta Bickerstaff of Summer Snow Samoyeds, an AKC licensed all breed
handler. Although Kahuna was far from show quality I became enamoured of showing
by traveling with Roberta as "kennel help" for about three years. Never went in a ring
but I LEARNED.
Kahuna was always very special and earned the Kal Kan Award of Distinction for keeping
a man from entering my car in a very bad part of town while I was stopped at a stop
light. The saddest part was that Kahuna was terminal at the time and had deteriorated
so badly that I was taking him to the vet to be sent to the Rainbow Bridge. My guardian
and protector to the very end |
