On Thursday night my buddy Jesse and I watched Team USA play Team Russia.  We didn't have tickets before hand, but we were able to buy some from someone on the street.  Heather panicked and bought the first ones available...we should have held out for better, cheaper seats.  Oh, well!  Unlike the game back in 1980, Team USA came up short against the Russians and lost 3-1.  The Americans didn't look ready to play.  They had better win tomorrow night so they can stay in the tournament!  Of course we stopped at Tom Reid's afterwards to drowned our sorrows!

On Friday we warmed up at Tom Reid's before the game...must have helped because Team USA played much better against Team Slovakia.  It was so weird to see MN Wild player Marion Gaborik on the visiting team. All of the military personnel got some nice, lower-level tickets to the game, and Jesse's friends John and Stacy joined us for the game.  USA won 3-1 to advance to the next round in the World Cup tournament.  Tom Reid's was rocking after the game!
