The New York Blood Center has also announced a blood emergency for the greater New York/New Jersey metropolitan area. Call 1-800-933-2566 to make an appointment or visit http://www.nybloodcenter.org/ for more information on how to help.

Medical personnel willing to volunteer help - Medical personnel who wish to donate their services should contact their local American Red Cross office.

Federal Emergency Management Agency - news and alerts. Includes suggested donation avenues to help the victims of the terrorist attacks.
United Way, donations:
The United Way of New York and the New York Community Trust have established a fund to help the victims of the attacks and their families. The September Eleventh Fund will provide immediate support to established emergency assistance agencies.
