This page is dedicated to my mother Pam who is also known as Kitty. The poem says it all. I love you Mama. You better. |
"My Mom" My Mom has taught me many things. She has taught me responsibility and strength, Honesty and fairness. She taught me love and courage, And to believe in myself. She taught me to hold true to my ideals, And to never change myself for anyone. To hold onto my dreams, And do what is right for me. She taught me it is ok to make mistakes, And never have regrets. She taught me to take the good with the bad, And that there can be no pleasure without pain. She taught me to never judge people, And to give everyone a fair chance. She taught me to stand up for myself, My beliefs, And who I am. She taught me the value of family and friendship, And to never forget where I come from. My mother has been there to kiss my hurts, Mend my broken hearts, And scold me when I needed it. She has never told me I couldn't do anything, And has never said I told you so. She has laughed at my bad jokes, And has held my hand, Till I was strong enough to stand on my own. She has protected me from the bad, And let me go out into the world to find my own place, And make my own mistakes. And she was always there to catch me when I fell. She encouraged me to succeed, And always gave me praise. My Mom is beautiful, Courageous and loving. And so much more to me. She is my Mother, My teacher, And most of all she is my best friend. I love her just for being her. So I give thanks to my Mom, For being such a wonderful teacher. Leigh Tower copywrite 2003 All Rights Reserved |

"A Mothers Love" Through trails and tribulations, The sacrafice was great. She let go of herself, And gave into fate. Though times were hard, She gave it a try. Though sometimes at night, I could hear her cry. A lesser woman, Would have given in. Yet she stuck it out, Again and again. Though money was scarce, Her love got us through. There is nothing for her children, That she wouldn't do. Now the pain has left, And those times are gone. I thank God everyday, For a Mother so strong.
