A Rhyme Without Reason
Forgotten names of familliar faces,
worn thin in all the wrong places.
I'll remember forever your blind agression,
give me some time for my confession.
Writing far too many poems that rhyme,
rarely do I have the time,
to smell the roses, surroundings blurred.
Into darkness, I'll not be lured.
Look at me, you'll see inside
is no longer a place where I can hide.
Please accept the way I cope,
help me regain my long lost hope.
Eternally afflicted with unrequited love,
I'm sick of daily push and shove.
Give me an inch, I don't need a mile,
To breakthrough your thoughtless guile.
