Moonlit Guidance | ||||||||
Driving home tonight, the moon spoke to me. She broke through the clouds to tell me not to give up. "I can beat the clouds" she said. "They do their best to hide me from your view, but I am stronger than any cloud in the tenebrous sky." And as the moon whispered to me, I began to see. Imagining a life, a great one, but impossible. Being with him, inseperable. Entwined, not bothering, to note the exsistance of time. One person, I could belong to, and not mind. Find sanctuary in his eyes. File away papers and resposibility and technicality, hold out my heart, to be picked when ripe, at his inclination. But knowing it will never happen, I wish I could retreat back to my clouds. Pass the time, staring down, eyes hazed over, seeing what could be. Dreaming of a life that wouldn't seem so monotonous, so forced. But then I remembered, the moon fighting her way through to speak to me. Tell me that I can be strong, break through my own clouds to fufill my purpose. And though I'm still hazy, I've seen the light. Moonlight guiding me to where I belong, illuminating the path to my meadow, where my heart longs to be. Solitary, secret, serene. Blind to jealousy and anger and self-depreciation. Alive. Maybe one day, strong enough to truely invite someone inside. So much about him, will I never let go? </3 -K |
