FARMALL F-12
Restored in memory of
Kenneth V. Ensign Sr.
1904-1994
For GrandpaMy dad and I would like to dedicate this project to
Kenneth V. Ensign Sr.
1904-1994
Without whom this project wouldn’t be possible.
Dad, Kenneth V Ensign Jr. and I, Kenneth III
Dad made a statement, one day, that he would like to see Grandpa’s old F-12 restored. I thought why not? So, we decided to take on this project and make a showing at the first county fair, after its completion. Hopefully, this will be in August 2001.
Well we made it and we joined the Huron County Agricultural Heritage Society
The tractor was a runner when it was parked, in the early 1980's, but to our knowledge hasn't been run since. It is a straight gas 1937 model that had been converted to rubber tires, at sometime in its life. It had a complete set of cultivators, on it, when it was retired and they are in good condition. The drawbar and belt pulley was still around and possibly some of the original hand tools, that came with the tractor. At the time we started this project, nobody thought about pictures. I regret to say we don't have a before picture of the tractor in one piece, though there are many pictures of the pieces as we disassembled it. So, on with the restoration of Grandpas F-12 Farmall.
