Charlie Barkin and his sidekick Itchy return in this sequel to the original 1989 film. They return to Earth in present day (1996) San Francisco after being asked to retrieve Gabriel's Horn, which has been stolen from Heaven by Carface. Charlie sees their return trip to Earth as his chance to have a little fun and spice up his life. Immediately the two become sidetracked in their endeavour untill a runaway boy (David) and a stray Irish Setter (Sasha) set them straight. Charlie's search for the horn leads him into a direct conflict with the Devil himself (Red), in which Charlie must defeat Red to save Heaven. All Dogs Go To Heaven: The Series
General Information:
First Aired: September 21, 1996
Cancelled:
November 17, 1998
Status:
Returning Series
Approximate Running Time:
30 min/episode
Although I'm sure this isnt what Don Bluth had in mind when he created ADGTH in 1989, its still worth a mention. The series basically picks up where the 2nd movie left off. After recovering Gabriel's Horn and saving Heaven, Charlie Barkin and his pal Itchy become guardian angels and are let loose on San Francisco to help and protect the citizens (both dogs and people). Each episode usually features some sort of mission or assignment given to them by Anabelle and if it dosn't, we usually find Charlie up to his usual tricks scamming people out of food and money, trying to foil the plans of Carface and Killer, or trying to charm Sasha.

The series ran for 3 seasons (a span of 41 episodes) from September 1996 to November 1998. The final episode was the All Dogs Christmas Carol (Christmas Special, usually referred to as the third movie since it's 1 hr and 13 min long). Re-runs can usually be found locally on FOX or ABC Family, and some episodes are available on VHS tapes or DVD's (see
Merchandise Info).
