I got a set of crimpers, a bag of 5,000 ready-to-rivet steel rings and a bag of 5,000 rivets from Forth Armoury. The rings are 18 ga x 3/8"id mild steel. Some people think this is too light, but when they are riveted, even an 18 ga ring is incredibly tough. They will bend, but they won't break. I wrapped the crimper handles with a few layers of friction tape to give them some "grips" and then a layer of duct tape so they wouldn't be sticky. (yes that's yellow duct tape). |

Four closed rings are joined on one ring to make a "link". Eight links joined in a row make a "chain". Eight chains make a pannel. Here is a quarter panel. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
