Hello My name is Gary Wilkinson. I am currently 29 years old and have been playing guitar since I was 15 years old. I have always tinkered with my guitars. I have performed succesfull and unsucessful surgery on many of them in an effort to learn how a guitar produces the amazing sounds and tones that they do. About 7 years ago I decided to build a guitar from scratch. I have always thrown miscallaneous parts together and made guitars, but I wanted to have that feeling of making my owne from raw materials. I studied how it was done for many months before attempting. Since then I learned to develop a way to make my own guitars without compromising the quality that is expected out of a hand made guitar. There have been two master luthiers that I have had the pleasure of running into during this journey, Joe Wilson and Michael Wentzell. I have gained a lot of wisdom from these guys just by watching and listening to them and them sharing how they approach building a guitar.
I recently became an authorized Buzz Feiten Retrofitter and all my guitars are now outfitted with the Buzz Feiten Tuning System as a standard.
