I have a pretend horse called Caramel. She is a Brown Morgan, a mare. I have a journal about everything I do with her. I haven't finished it yet, but here it is:
Journal:
Well, Caramel was very impatient today, she woke me up, and we went for a ride. Afterwards I fed her some hay. She has a little pasture where she stays during the day, but she sleeps in my room at night, because we have coyotes, mountain lions, and bears here. We rode peacefully for a little while, but then Mickey (our other dog), a black Labrador, came running towards us, and Caramel got scared and ran. I let her run for a little while, but then I stopped her. We rode back up to the house. Breakfa st was ready, and I gave her just a few oats. After breakfast, I groomed her, and rode on the road. Then I set up some jumps, and we jumped over all of them, without knocking them down. But they were pretty low. Then we went riding over to the pasture, and we saw Starspots there. I took off Caramels saddle, and climbed on bareback, and we jumped the fence. Now we are going to church, and Caramel is coming too! Not inside, she'll stay outside. There is a place where you can keep horses, and I put her there. Well, we're going now, and I'm going to ride Caramel there, so I have to saddle her and get her all ready.
Journal:
We got back from church, and we stopped by the park to get Caramel. She was very happy to see us! We saw a kitten while we were going into church, and we held it and pe tted it. I rode Caramel home, and then we jumped some more. Then I gave her some hay and water, and I stayed with her for an hour, talking to her. Then we went for another ride, to Granite Ridge Cliffs. We had lots of fun
Journal:
This morning I got up before anyone else, and gave Caramel some oats. Then I saddled her and went for a ride. We went for a ride near the lake. Then we came back towards the house. There is a little creek by our house, and I rode Caramel over there. We are going to Fresno tod ay, and I'm going to ride Caramel down there, while everybody else rides in the car. It's an hour down there in the car, so it will be longer on horseback. But I'm going to make Caramel go fast.
Journal:
We got back from a Civil War Re-enactment. Caramel had fun, there were lots of other horses there! I saw one there, I even got to pet it! Caramel got scared when the can nons fired, and so did all the other horses. We had lots of fun! We just got back. Well, we\rquote ve been back long enough for me to ride on Caramel. I'm writing this message very quick because Caramel hasn't had much exercise, and we have to go riding before it gets to dark. It is 6:32. I don't keep Caramel in my room anymore, I keep her in the garage, because we don't park our car there
