| JJ Mine |
| The JJ Mine is located up a little known canyon in my favorite area to explore, the Panamint Valley. Reportedly discovered in 1901 after which $75,000 to $80,000 worth of high grade gold/silver ore was packed out by mule. The mine lay idle after 1910 (as reported in 1965) and contained approximately 400 feet of underground workings, mostly exploration work, with drifts, crosscuts and one raise. (Thanks Dan!) |
