Editing the wolfenstein3d source code:

What you need:

Borland C++ 3.1 (availiable from one of the wolf3-D sites)

Wolfenstein3-D ...DUH!!!! lol

Correct VGA Files

All right before you make any changes to the code you need to set the code up. First install the Borland C++3.1 to C:\BORLANDC, then reboot your computer. Now install the Source Code package to something like C:\SOURCE like i have on my computer. Now go into ms-dos mode and go to the directory of your source code and press bc.Now a screen with a grey backround and a rectangular cyan window that says Project:Wolf3D. now go up to the top bar and navigate to Options and go to directories.
Now the Library directory should be C:\BORLANDC\LIB
The Include directory should be C:\BORLANDC\INCLUDE
The output directory should be the location as to where your wolf3d game files are. i.e. C:\WOLF3D
The Source Directory should be where you put your source code files.
Now Scroll down until you find gamepal.obj, and signon.obj, highlight these entries and press delete. Press insert and navigate to your source code directory and find gamepal.obj  highlight the file and press ok then do the same with signon.obj. When both are inserted press done Now go up and find CO.ASM and press delete. Go up to compile and build all. It should be a sucess.It should have generated a bunch of .obj files. Now test the exe in your output  directory, and if the graphics are okay your all set ,if not then download the vga files above.
