The Harker Organization was started by Johnathan Harker, his wife Mina, and Dr. Van Helsing after they learned that the nosferatu that they killed (Dracula) wasn't the only one in the world. Relying upon their limited knowledge of the nether realm, they attempted to take on scores of undead. Unfortunatley, not all vampires were as human as Dracula was. In an ancient ruin located somewhere east of Moscow, they came upon what Dr. Van Helsing named Sigma Machines. Van Helsing labored for weeks until finally understanding some of the writing on the contraption. Learning the basics of what it did, Johnathan used it on himself, unbeknownst to Mina and the doctor. When he emerged from the device, he was no longer human, but a champion for humanity. With their newfound strength, the Harker Organization came to life. Both Mina and Johnathan fought the undead for over three decades, when on a routine patrol of London, both were ambushed, and killed. Their son, James, took the mantle from then on, and had led the group on many victorious battles until his recent death. William has now taken control of the organization.
A great assumption was made in the past: vampires had no soul, and therefore were in no way human. Due to recent events, this has been rethought. Now, the Harkers seek not vampires specifically, but any threat to humanity.
